Meet our Dance Instructors

Lucy Bowen-McCauley

Lucy Bowen-McCauley is the artistic director, choreographer and owner of Bowen McCauley Dance. Having been trained in the Dance for Parkinson's progam at the Mark Morris Dance Company in New York, Bowen-McCauley has joined with PFNCA to create the Dance for Parkinson's program in the Washington, DC area. Bowen-McCauley teaches the Fairfax, Arlington and Silver Spring Dance for Parkinson's classes.

Lisa Girdy

Lisa Girdy has been a dance educator for over 30 years. Owning her own studio, Free to Dance Foundation, she has created numerous outreach programs. In addition to a having BFA in Dance from George Mason University, Ms Girdy trained with Mark Morris
Dance Company and the Brooklyn Parkinsons Group in New York in 2009. She has
joined forces with Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area to offer
additional Dancing with Parkinsons classes in the Washington, DC area. Ms.
Girdy teaches the Dancing With Parkinsons in the Fairfax and Ashburn/Sterling
areas. No experience necessary. Come dance to the rhythm of your heart.
